Again And Again

When I design a project I usually end up beading it at least 4 times. Once is my first experiments with the idea, the second is when I try and repeat what I did the first time. The third is when I try to perfect the idea and see if I can change the project to make it easier to bead or explain in any way and the fourth is usually when I decide on my final colours.

Sometimes I don't need to bead the whole pieces, especially if it's made of repeating components, but sometimes I do, and sometimes it takes more than 4 times until I'm satisfied!

Today I'm working on about the 5th iteration of an idea, but as it's a piece that will use at least 100 individual components I have lost track of how many pieces I have actually beaded.

I was originally going to bead this in a dark gold but my recent fascination with white has meant I may now bead it in that. But until then I'm still using a mix of colours so I can see exactly where I am and how the beads sit.

Fingers crossed I'm satisfied with it soon and can move onto bezelling all the chatons needed (I say 100 but I'm thinking it may even be more...) and beading all the individual pieces that will combine into a very sparkly bracelet.
