Bead & Button 2014 Day 7

Today was Glenda's last day of classes and it was a busy one with both Leonie and Windows of St Chapelle bracelets.

One of the treats of this trip has been getting to meet people who have purchased books, patterns etc from me and getting to see some of the great beadwork they've done from them.

Today we got to see some of the great pieces that Laurel Kubby has beaded including a Caldera Bangle from Geometric Beadwork Volume 1 and an Interlocking Crystals Necklace.

I had to sneak away from the second class today a bit early as I was going to see...Cher!

And if you're going to see Cher what better company to do it with than Suzanne Golden, Stacy Creamer and Anne Mitchell?!?!?

The night was great and Cher was everything I hope she would be - but with even less clothes than I imagined (and I wasn't expecting many).

Weirdly on the way into the show a group of religious people were handing out leaflets telling us all to "Consider Your Ways".

I have no idea if their message was worth considering as I find it hard to believe anyone ignorant enough to judge others just for having fun on a friday night, and rude enough to do so with no communication or facts (just plain old-on-sight-judgement) and added to that cruel enough to take their tearful children out at night so they can get twisted pleasure out of feeling superior to strangers, has anything to say I need to listen to.

Perhaps it was a good job they didn't see Cher nearly naked, resembling the Virgin Mary, travelling above our heads in a sparkly cage. Who knows what leaflet they'd need to deal with that situation.
