I'm working away behind the scenes on projects for my new book and here's a sneak peek at one of them. The finished result will be a full necklace with lots of interchangeable pieces but this is as far as I have got.
Doing the book is good fun as it takes me out of my comfort zone and makes me think about using stitches and techniques I usually don't use too much- I'm talking about you ladder stitch, brick stitch and RAW. Plus beads I have no use for in my geometric work- that's you bugle beads.
So far this week I have made 4 ladder stitch bracelets (including one which I can't stop wearing it's so good), 6 pendants and 3 bangles. All are colourful and wearable- which is my aim with the book.
Just another 3 rings, 6 pairs of earrings, 5 necklaces, 5 bracelets and about 10 beaded beads to go and I'm done.
You may not see much of me for a while as I'll be hidden under a pile of beads...
