I am not a natural-born photographer. The other day I went out, camera in hand, specifically to walk and take photos, and I left the battery plugged in at home in the charger.
Today it was the memory card.
So instead all I can offer you are a picture of a pavlova made by my 13-year old niece for a dinner party she DIDN'T invite me to. She wants the photo here as apparently she would love to be on the blog of 'someone famous' (please no-one spoil her crazy illusion). I guess she read the recent Beading Daily email which described me as 'the one and only Jean Power'. Ok, I made her read it.
But I also have these lovely photos I have been meaning to show you for a while now.
When I last taught at Missenden Abbey I met Rose Rushbrooke who makes the most wonderful quilts and beadwork. Not only does Rose make fascinating Anamorphic quilts but she also works a lot in fractals and is now making a piece of jewellery to match each of a set of quilts. Royal Crustacean Cellini Spiral Necklace is just one of them and isn't it perfect for the quilt? What a great project and I really look forward to seeing the rest of the pieces Rose makes.
