Another day, another project with a huge crystal, except this one works!

For years now I have been trying to turn one of these crystals into as flower, to use as a brooch or pendant, but it's never gone quite right. Today I was looking at some samples I had with me for a project which will be in Beadwork later this year (sorry it's staying hidden for now) which uses tubes of beadwork to create angles and shapes which aren't what they first appear. All very cryptic- sorry! But it occured to me that the same principle, but somehow completely different may just be what I was after to make my points.

A few hours of beading later and I had a six-pointed star. A few more hours and I had a 12-petalled lotus. Of course as I worked on the piece until the early hours of the morning I thought of at least 3 variation. Fingers crossed I can get them all beaded in the next few weeks.
