I was pleased today to finish the beaded rope for my Rivoli Roses necklace. It's a simple herringbone rope but as I was eager to begin something new, I found it slow going.

It's funny how life, inspiration and the brain works. Yesterday I came to the computer thinking I was going to write a blog about seeing Dolly Parton in concert, but my sadness about Earnley closing, and its repercussions on students, staff and teachers, took over and I never even mentioned it.

Today between my sore finger and bruised and battered body I have to cancel my plan to visit the Treasures of Heaven exhibition at The British Museum with Francesca Walton which is a real shame but hopefully I will get to see it before it finishes.

My new necklace is progressing nicely and I have beaded some more Geometric Crystal Squares and a new Crystal Star. This one is my first reversible one which fits in with the rest of the necklace which will be fully reversible.

Today is more pentagon beading and I begin by carrying on with my latest bangle. By the end of the day I realise I have beaded about 20% of a finished piece. Seeing as I want to bead 3 of these (or maybe 5 now I have thought of new ideas) I need to really get a move on with them!
