Back to Knitting

My day out yesterday included a trip to Loop, a lovely yarn shop.

It's the second time I've been there in just over a week and, most unlike me, both times I managed to resist the draw of buying anything new. Partly because I'd have no real idea what to do with anything I'd buy, but also because I'm very aware I have both an unfinished knitting and an unfinished crochet project calling to me.

So, to ease my conscious (not just to let myself buy new yarn!) I got my knitting out again.

I hadn't realised until just now it was 10 months ago I last picked it up- yikes- I thought it was maybe 2 months ago.

I recently had a bit of help from a knitter to help me overcome the problems/ worries I have about knitting, so I'm a lot more relaxed about it all now. I just find that it does not seem to sit comfortably in my hands and so the tension is bad or it's just uncomfortable to work.

But I am experimenting with "armpit knitting" and it feels a lot better. I may actually finish this knitting this year!

Now I just need to be able to knit without staring at it and making myself "seasick".
