Loving Loomwork

I very rarely go to bead classes, whether it's because I can't find the time, or there's no-one else really teaching in London or teaching anything different and interesting that I can get to or that I'm wary of going to a class and someone accusing me of using their idea in my work at a later date!

Another day sight-seeing in lovely, sunny England. We have had nice weather (by that I mean it hasn't rained or snowed) for a full 5 days now here and it's glorious!

Last Day In Bath

Our last day in Bath and we began it with an open-top bus tour around the countryside of Bath and then, after a cream tea, managed to fit in some shopping (well I did anyway, my companions was chief bag carrier and tea drinker instead)

In And Around Bath

Today we spent the day in Bath and visited the Roman Baths, did an open top bus tour around the town, popped into the dolls house shop on Pulteney Bridge and then I headed to the Thermae Bath Spa for a relaxing swim and massage.

Fun In Bath

I've travelled across to Bath for a couple of days to try and see some places I've been desperate to see for ages- though apparently I did visit them all about twenty years ago I have no memories of it at all- well just one awful memory of drinking the water- more of that tomorrow.

Chocolate Class

As I'm interested in food and how what we eat effects us, I spent this afternoon on a raw and sugar-free chocolate making course. The course was run by Liz Bygrave in North London and I learnt a lot and of course ended up eating far too much chocolate!

My life has been very busy recently with Bead magazine undergoing a re-design (and an extra 16 pages being added- yikes!) teaching a lot, finishing up the book and generally all the other work that life and running your own business involves.

Wow- well the much threatened snow finally came!I don't think I have ever seen so much snow in London- and definitely never heard of all the buses being cancelled because of the weather. Travelling anywhere was a nightmare with most of the transport system in London at a stand still
