Return To Paris

Back to Paris today to collect and finish my medals.

I spent a lovely day sanding, filing, polishing, colouring and then waxing all 3 of them and am really delighted with the results- not bad for a first attempt!

Of course I have to say they're much nicer in real life- like most work. The metal is lovely and smooth and cold and they fit nicely in the palm of your hand. So different from the warm little beads I'm used to!

It was a real treat to work in such an 'artistic' way. Taking an idea and feelings and turing them into sketches and then finished pieces.

It's really made me think about what direction I want to take with my beadwork.

So watch this space over the next few months!
